Santa's Workshop

When I was little, my sister and I had a little holiday greed that sparked our biggest family tradition.  After demanding more and more presents, my parents botched buying each other presents - everything has to be home made.  We don't have many traditions, but we are all in love with this huge one.  It's really cool to open presents that are so personal, and that have so much work put into them.  The only problem with this. . . we are a family of procrastinators.  We are often still crafting on Christmas day, and we can't open presents until 10 at night. It is sometimes more expensive to buy the craft supplies, our backs often ache, and the week before Christmas is filled with 4 am bedtimes (we have to make presents for every person, adding boyfriends makes 8 presents per person!).  As I'm bent over work, Cris says, "There she is, Elfing away."  This huge undertaking isn't a very small thing to dump on someone new to the idea - and it's been a bit much for Cris.  But he's been a great creative sport, and I can't wait for him to be part of the tradition.
Here we are, in our workshop, Elfing away
